Love Eternal:

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS BLOG – PLEASE LOOK AT THE JULY 9TH “A LOST LOVE:” POST TO SEE WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT.

Love Eternal…. The thought that love can last – standing outside of time, outside of death even.  A writer friend of mine expressed this idea in the form of a metaphorical short story about the memory of a lost love in a setting where you would least expect it.  Is it possible that even when there is no conscious thought left, that the glimmer of love can still exist? Can a bond be so powerful in life that it transcends tragedy? Can the ashes of memory still faintly glow? Here is a strangely touching and beautiful meditation on lost love

..
I personally choose to believe that love CAN continue…
My thanks for allowing me to share
one of the most unusual tributes to love that I’ve ever read.
As always, I encourage you to share your thoughts on a LOST LOVE too:

I’ll leave you with the thought that sometimes love comes with no rhyme or reason –

to love for sentimental reasons alone is as good a reason as any.

  1. Sharing these two Chet Baker songs, “That Old Feeling / I’ve Never Been in Love Before.”
Love listening to this late at night. The sound of his sweet, young voice, his melancholy trumpet playing and the lyrics in both songs make me feel wistful…like I’m sitting alone in a sweet jazz club from long ago.
